The Naked & Famous founder Cam Newton has been caught wearing tights while celebrating a victory over a rival in a charity match.
The pair were in attendance at the first World Cup match at Wembley in London.
The match was staged in the stadium’s VIP area, which was packed with fans.
The men were seen on the floor of the stadium, wearing a dark suit, tights and knee-high boots.
There was a huge cheer in the crowd when they emerged.
But when the two competitors walked away, they were seen wearing tighs, which were visible as they walked down the corridor.
Cam Newton has worn tights for years.
He was spotted wearing a pair of them while celebrating the World Cup final win in October 2014.
A spokesman for the company, which produces underwear, told the BBC it had decided to remove the tights from its collection because it had “been wearing the same type of clothing since we launched”.
Cam said he had been wearing them since the day he won the World Championships in the summer of 2013, when he won gold in the 200m freestyle final at the World Junior Championships.
He has been wearing tassel-like footwear since then, as well as shorts and a pair on the ground.
It is the first time the company has removed a product in the last three years, after a number of other companies started selling similar products, such as boots, trainers and socks.
The company, founded in 1999 by Sir Ben Stiller, has now been bought by Vans.
“Cam is a true innovator, one who has created a line of products that have been designed to make us feel like celebrities, rather than the athletes who we are,” the spokesman said.
More: Newton is not the first athlete to have his tights pulled from the market by VANS.
Last month, former professional rugby player Dan Carter, whose wife has breast cancer, pulled his tassels after the US Supreme Court ruled in favor of his right to wear them.
