Narnia and American Girl are the latest names to take inspiration from their mother, according to a fashion site that lists fashion trends in the United States.
American Girl founder Lisa Yoon said she has long admired her mother’s style and wanted to recreate it with her own creations.
“My mom’s style was just so gorgeous, and I wanted to give her a little twist,” Yoon told The Wall St. Journal.
The inspiration for American Girl is a classic mid-century American girl outfit, including a white dress and pink heels.
American Girls started in the early 1990s, and is now owned by Narnya.
In her book “Dancing with the Stars” co-host Eliza Skinner, who was born in the 1930s, said her mother would “steal” her dress at a wedding.
The inspiration for the current outfits comes from her mother, Yoon added.
When American Girl was launched, Yulani was a 16-year-old.
In the show, she wears the dress as a baby and dances to the song “Auld Lang Syne” on her birthday.
Yoon said American Girl would also love to make its own dresses for her mom.
“I want to make them for her, but I can’t afford to pay her,” she said.
“So I’ll just make my own dress for her.
It’s a fun thing to do, I’m just really excited about it.”
