A grandmother and daughter from Texas have become household names for a pair of new dresses, one of which is a throwback to an era when the two lived in the Midwest.
Ikea Kids Treated Daughter’s New Dress For Her Father’s 70th Birthday A friend of IKEAS daughter, Emma, told the Washington Post that Emma’s dress has a lot of detail and has a vintage-inspired skirt and skirt hem that’s long and narrow.
“It’s a really special dress that I’ve never seen in my life,” said the friend, who asked to remain anonymous.
Eileen Baugh, a professor of fashion design at New York University, said the dress is part of a collection of retro-inspired dresses that have been on display at the family’s Ikea store since 2016.
Baugh told the Post that the daughter’s dress was inspired by the fashion house’s new line, the Treated Collection, which includes “classic” dresses and jackets.
The dresses are a throwbacks to the days when Emma lived in Texas, Baugh said, and feature embroidery on the sleeves and hem.
While the dresses are “very vintage-y,” the dresses don’t have an overtly vintage vibe, Bouch said.
When Emma wore the dress to her birthday party in October, her mother, Jocelyn Baugh Sr., and her brother, Andrew, were excited to see the dress in person, Boulters told the paper.
According to Baugh and her husband, who is a fashion designer, the dresses were designed by their father and his son, and were made by a company called IKEAFEST.
Emma, a third-grader at the Krieger Preschool in Houston, said that the dress was “like the first time I wore a dress,” according to Boulter.
In the dress, Emma wore a simple, muted yellow blouse with a white skirt, a simple white shirt, and matching shoes.
The skirt is long and thin, and is “like a little skirt skirt, I think,” Boulterson told the Times.
Andrew said that he loves the dress and thinks it is “pretty special.”
“She wears it with pride,” he said.
“She loves it.”
Boulters said that Emma will wear the dress when her father is at the party and that she is looking forward to seeing it in person.
We’re always going to be a little bit of a family, Andrew Boults said.
We’ve been together for almost 50 years.
It’s always been a family.
She’s going to love it.
It’s going great.
But the dad is not in there.
We’re not going to wear it to the party, she said.
She’s just going to enjoy it.
