In a surprise move to make the show’s most popular female wrestler (Slim Shady) appear in an episode, WWE announced on Tuesday that she is currently suspended from the company after she was seen masturbating in the studio.
“Slim has been suspended from WWE until further notice for an act that does not align with WWE standards of conduct,” the network said in a statement.
The announcement comes after WWE suspended her earlier this month for two weeks after her performance on a live episode.
“We have taken the steps necessary to address her actions and to ensure that she has the respect and support of WWE fans,” the statement read.
“While this situation is currently under investigation, WWE will not be commenting further on this situation.”
The news comes as fans continue to rally behind the character of Stephanie McMahon, who has become a lightning rod for controversy following allegations of sexual misconduct.
McMahon’s first official appearance on the network in October came after the company fired her in the wake of allegations that she had an affair with the then-husband of WWE star John Cena.
“The allegations of misconduct are absolutely horrific, and they are without merit,” Stephanie McMahon said at the time.
“These allegations have been investigated by multiple law enforcement agencies, and none of these allegations have ever been substantiated.
I look forward to continuing to work with WWE as we build a new future together.”
